THE DARKNESS

Anarchic Rock Energy

For The Darkness's ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’, scale, energy and chaos were central to the brief. Shiny Dot created a cosmic environment, combining a stylised lunar landscape with satellites and deep space to frame the piece. The sequence opened with a giant UFO descending over the stage, working with lighting to beam the lead singer into the arena and establish the visual world. From there, signals pulsed across a star-filled sky before lightning strikes and graphic iconography introduced disruption and energy. As the track built, oversized objects and bold lyric typography drove forward in perspective, with the visuals intensifying into a cosmic field of motion and electrical energy, before resolving into a final hero reveal of the band's logo.

A high-energy cosmic world built on scale and motion.
