SUGABABES
Architecture, neon and repetition
Using geometric forms and pulsing light, Shiny Dot created a striking backdrop that built energy for Sugababes' medley of ‘Overload’, ‘Push the Button’ and ‘About You Now’. To mark the return of the original line-up after a 23-year hiatus, the visuals unfolded across three distinct looks.
The opening framed each performer within neon structures that multiplied into repeated forms receding in perspective, expanding and contracting. This developed into a more architectural composition, where light pulsed through layered frames in sync with the music.
As the medley built in scale and intensity, the final track resolved into a large-scale infinity tunnel built from neon tubes, with light travelling through the space tightly beatmapped to the track. A dynamic visual world built on light, depth, and repetition.
