CLEAN BANDIT
Symphonic Homecoming
Clean Bandit closed the Team GB Homecoming concert at Manchester's AO Arena with a medley of ‘Symphony’, ‘Cry Baby’ and ‘Rather Be’. The graphics traced the athletes' journey from Paris back to London, unfolding as a stylised beatmapped rail journey. The sequence opened in a futuristic digital interpretation of Gare du Nord in Paris. Vast architectural spaces and cool blue light stretched into the distance, evoking the anticipation of departure.
As the medley progressed, the perspective shifted to a moving train. Rain-soaked windows and streaking lights captured the rhythm of travel, carrying the audience across the Channel. For ‘Rather Be’, we arrive in a vibrant magenta interpretation of St Pancras Station in London. Expanding architectural perspectives and pulsating colour built scale and momentum, culminating in a crescendo to close the concert.
